Inside the showroom
The old setup has us running stock and bikes between two sites. A customer would ask about a model, and there was a fair chance it was twenty minutes down the road. That is gone. The new building holds far more stock on site, which means more bikes you can actually put your hands on, sit on and wheel out to the car park before you commit to anything.
The building itself is all-electric, with 42 solar panels, heat pumps and underfloor heating, it was not a marketing decision, it was the right choice for a buisness that plans to be here for another fifty years.
Which bike brands do you stock?
We are an authorised dealer for Cube, Specialized, Whyte, Hornit, Estarli, Pinarello and Amflow. Being an authorised dealer matters more than it sounds. It means we can honour manufacturer warranties in our own workshop, we get proper technical support and parts access from the brands we sell, and we can order in sizes and colours that might not necessarily be on the shop floor.
Across those brands we cover kids' bikes, hybrids, commuters, road, gravel, mountain, folding and a large electric bike range. Stock changes constantly, so if you are after something specific, call ahead on 01872 487199 and we will tell you honestly whether it is in the building, or if it needs ordering.
Can I try a bike before I buy it?
Yes. We would rather you did. There is a difference between a bike that looks right on a spec sheet and on that feels right when you are on it.

The workshop
The new workshop now runs five seperate mechanic stations. More stations means more availability for servicing and quicker turnaround once your bike is in. We handle everything from a puncture and a gear adjustment through to full strip-down rebuilds, wheel building, suspension work and hydraulic brake bleeds. We service bikes bought from us and bikes bought anywhere else, without prejudice either way. We want you back on two wheels as soon as possible.
How long does a bike service take?
For a straightforward service on a bike in reasonable condition, we usually turn it around the same day its booked in, and small jobs can sometimes be handled while you wait if the workshop is not stacked out. The honest answer is, it depends on how busy we are, and whether we find something during the strip-down that needs a part ordering in for the job to be completed.
We will always call you before doing any work that goes beyond what you booked in for. Nobody enjoys collecting a bike and discovering the bill has doubled. If you need a firm date, for example because you have an event or a holiday coming up, tell us when you book and we will be straight with you about whether we can get it done for you in time.
Do you service electric bikes?
Yes, including diagnostics. We run Bosch eBike diagnostic software, which lets us read fault codes directly from the drive unit, check battery health, run software updates and reset service intervals rather than guessing at symptoms. If your motor is cutting out intermittently, or your range has begun to decrease drastically, that diagnostic read is usually what tells us whether the problem is the battery, the drive unit, a sensor or a faulty connection.
This is the main practical reason to use an authorised dealer workshop rather than a general bike shop for an e-bike. Warranty claims on drive units and batteries almost always require diagnostic evidence, and manufacturers will tend to not accept a claim without it. We can also carry out warranty work in-house rather than sending your bike away for weeks.

Cycle To Work and finance
We accept the Cycle to Work scheme and offer finance options on bikes, so the cost of a new bike and accessories can be spread rathger than paid up front. If your employer has a scheme in place, send in, or bring your certificate details in and we will handle the rest. How to find us
We are in Summercourt, roughly in the middle of Cornwall and a couple of minutes off the A30, which makes us easy to reach from most of the county without going into a town centre.
How far are you from Newquay, Truro and St Austell?
Summercourt sits between all three. From Newquay, you are looking at no more than fifteen minutes on the A3058.
From Truro it is roughly twenty minutes via the A39 and A30.
From St Austell it is about twenty minutes on the A30.
Bodmin, Wadebridge, Perranporth and Padstow are all comfortably within half an hour, and even Redruth and Camborne are a straightforward run along the A30.
Free parking is available directly on site, and there is significantly more of it than at the old premises. You can pull in, unload a bike or a car full of kids' bikes, and walk straight into the workshop without a car park ticket in sight.
